You can delete your Dekho account at any time, as a buyer or a seller. Deleting it signs you out and closes the account.
1. Delete it in the app
- Open the Dekho app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Pick a reason and confirm.
Your account is deactivated and you are signed out straight away. We then complete the deletion.
2. Ask us by email
If you can't use the app, email support@dekho.shop from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my Dekho account". We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it, so nobody else can delete your account.
3. What we delete and what we keep
When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise your account data, such as your profile, contact details and saved addresses.
Indian law requires us to keep some records for a fixed time, even after you delete your account. These are kept securely and used only for that purpose:

| KYC documents (sellers) | 5 years from your last transaction — required under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. |
| Session recordings — compliance | Minimum 180 days. Longer if relevant to an active dispute or legal matter. |
| Log and usage data | 90 days in identifiable form, then anonymised for analytics. |
